Before you begin...

This bag is worked in the round using a progression of different sized stitches to create the wave appearence. The bead stitch is also used for a round.

Bead Stitch - [yarn over, pull yarn up about 1/2 an inch] X 4. Yarn over and pull through all 9 loops on the hook to create the completed bead stitch. Ch 1 to secure.

Part 1: Base

(Make 1)

The bottom of the drawstring bag is a circle.

Magic Circle

With color A, make a magic cirlce of choose to slip sknot, chain 4, and slip stitch to the first chain 1 to join.

Row 1

Chain 1 (ch 1). Half double crochet 8 (hdc 8). Slip stitch (sl st) to the ch 1 space.

Row 2

Chain 1 (ch 1). Half double crochet 8 (hdc 8). Slip stitch (sl st) to the ch 1 space.

Row 3

Ch 1. Hdc 1 in the first stitch, hdc 2 in the next stitch. Repeat around. (hdc 1, hdc 2 X 8) Sl st to join.

Row 4

Ch 1. Hdc 2 in the first stitch, hdc 1 in the next stitch, hdc 1 in the third stitch. Repeat around. (hdc 2, hdc 1, hdc 1) Sl st to join.

Row 5

Ch 1. Hdc 1 in each of the next 3 stitches, hdc 2 in the fourth stitch. Repeat around. (hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 2) Sl st to join.

Row 6

Ch 1. Hdc 2 in the first stitch, hdc 1 in the next 4 stitches. Repeat around. (hdc 2, hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 1) Sl st to join.

Row 7

Ch 1. Hdc 1 in each of the next 5 stitches, hdc 2 in the sixth stitch. Repeat around. (hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 1, hdc 2) Sl st to join.

Row 8
