Before you begin...

This pattern is made using granny squares and takes only a day to make.

Puff Stitch: *Yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop. Repeat * until there are 7 loops on the hook. Pull yarn through all loops. Chain 1 to lock in the stitch.

Bobble Stitch: *Yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops with 2 loops left on hook. Repeat * until there are 4 incompete double crochets and there are 5 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all loops. Chain 1 to lock in the bobble stitch.

Part 1: Sunflower Granny Squares

(Make 5)

This pattern is based on the crochet365knittoo.com sunflower bag pattern made by Cheryl.

Row 1

With black yarn (color A), ch 4, sl st to the first ch in the hook and create a circle. Ch 3. Dc 16 in the circle. Sl st to the top of ch 3 to secure and fasten off color A.

Row 2

With brown yarn (color B), sl st between a dc of row 1 and ch 3. Make a puff stitch between each dc and ch 1 in between each puff. Sl st to the top of ch 3 to secure and fasten off color B.

Row 3

With yellow yarn (color C), sl st between a puff stitch of row 2 and ch 3. Make a bobble stitch between each puff and ch 1 between each bobble. Sl st to the top of ch 3 to secure and fasten off color C.

Row 4

With green yarn (color D), sl st between a bobble stitch of row 3 and ch 3. Dc 2 in the same stitch. * [ Tc 3, ch 3, tc 3 ], [ dc 3 ], [ hdc 3 ], [ dc 3 ]. Repeat * 3 times. [ Tc 3, ch 3, tc 3 ], [ dc 3 ], [ hdc 3 ], sl st to the top of the ch 3 to fasten off color D.
