The bag is made from triangle shapes. Start by making the two triangles for the main part of the bag.

Chain

Sl kt and ch 4. Sl st to the first ch to make a circle.

Ch 1. Sc 4 in the circle. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2

Sc 2 in each st across. Ch 1, turn.

Sc 1 in each stitch across. Ch 1, turn.

Ch 1, (sc 1, sc 2 in the same stitch). Repeat () across. Turn.

Ch 1, sc 1 in each stitch across. Turn.

Row 6

Ch 1, sc 2 tog across. Turn.

Row 7

Ch 1, sc 1 in each stitch across. Turn.

Row 8

Ch 1, sc 2 tog across. Turn.

Row 9

Ch 1, sc 2 tog. Sl st to join. Fasten off.

Row 10

Sc 1 across the entire top of the bag for a clean edge.

Part 1: Handles

(Make 2)

Bag handles for the front and back of the bag

Chain

Sl kt with a long tail for attaching later. Ch 53.

Row 1

Dc 8 in the 3rd ch from the hook. Sc 48. dc 8 in the last ch space. Sc 48 back down the length of the chain and sl st to first ch 3.

Row 2

Ch 3. Dc 2 in each of the 8 dc. Sc 48 down the side, dc 2 in each of the 8 dc, sc 48 back down the side. Sl st to first ch 3 to join. Fasten off with a long tail to attach to the bag.

Join

Grab a darning needle and matress stitch the sc together on each side of the handle to make a tube. Fasten off with a knot and feed the end back into the tube. Use the long yarn tails to weave the bag handle onto the top of the hearts.
