I make stockings every year and this year I decided to make my own beginner crochet Christmas stockings pattern. This pattern is much more simple than it looks. Color changes are what make the pattern looks so nice.
I took inspiration from more of the traditional style crochet but I still wanted the pattern repeat to be simple to follow along as a beginner crocheter.

The beginner crochet Christmas stocking pattern is worked in the round. Chain (ch) 1 at the start of each row. You can choose to Slip stitch (sl st) join to the ch space for each round or work continuously in the round with a stitch marker.
